FileSpy
See all those using a specific file on a Novell file server. |
 |
FileSpy allows users connected to a
network with Novell Netware to see all the users who are using a specific
file. It also allows viewing of the users rights to the file/directory,
how the file was opened, the users network address, and the date and time
the user logged in to the network. With FileSpy you can also send
messages to selected network users and if you have administrative rights
you can even clear their connection. Use FileSpy to monitor files
and see the date and time a user accessed a file and the date and time the
user released the file (stored in a log file). If a file is locked by a
user it is a breeze to unlock it with FileSpy. FileSpy is
very useful when an updated application needs to be installed on the
network. Users can be contacted to exit an application so that the updated
version may be installed. FileSpy can be configured to alert you
when a specified file is released by a user or notify you when a specific
file is opened by a user. With a few clicks of the mouse FileSpy
can even be configured to automatically copy a file over when it detects a
file has been released by all users! And for those pesky users who do not
close files before they leave for the day - FileSpy can be
configured to automatically clear connections of users who have a file
open beyond a specific date and time. Rather than contact the LAN
Administrator for this information do it yourself from your own desktop
computer with FileSpy, an invaluable tool!
